Meet the Cast & Crew: Ivy K. Meehan

How did you get started in acting?

When I was 11 years old, I played a munchkin soldier in a community production of The Wizard of Oz. The rest is history.

How did you first get involved in the movie?

I worked with Elena and Duncan on two seasons of #ATown. I remember asking about the script Duncan was working on years ago and am thrilled to dive into this piece!

When did you move to Austin, and how is it different from when you first moved here?

I moved to Austin in 2010 and aside from the obvious "the skyline has changed" or "there are more hipsters" or "the traffic is terrible," Austin has broadened for me. By that I mean, when I moved here I had my bubble and I stuck to it. Now I can give you great brunch spots ALL OVER Austin instead of just the East Side.

What do you think about crowdfunding on Seed&Spark so far? Best parts? Worst parts? 

Seed&Spark does such an impressive job in the crowdfunding department. The site and members and campaigns feel more intimate while still reaching far angles of the world for crowdfunding efforts.

What is your favorite form of art and why?

My heart will always belong to the stage...

If your character could give you life advice, what would they say?

She'd say: Sharp scissors are better than dull scissors. Same goes for life companions.
